Pelicans Landing

‘Seafood at Williamstown’

And what else would you order when your down by the sea, overlooking stunning views of Melbourne. Pelicans landing is a fine dining restaurant with ezquisite cuisine, prepared by their head chef  Clive Kirby. I dined down here a while ago with my son when we over this side of town, and we were lucking to get a table too.

We started off with some Home made dips served with crusty turkish bread $15.00. It was nice to start off with something small so we could take in the beautiful views of all the boats out on the seas. We were tired after our trip to Williamstown and seeings we had over an hours drive to get back home, we just wanted to eat up then leave. I was happy with the choice of restaurant (which my son choose because it was near the water), the atmosphere was relaxing, and the waiters made you feel at home.

When choosing a meal to eat, I went straight for the Pelicans Landing Fish and Chips, King George whiting fillets served with steak fries, a rocquette, witlof and parmesan salad, and fresh lemon and gribiche sauce. This was beautiful, and I nicely finished off the whole serving. I enjoyed this with a nice glass of chardonnay, there wine list covers wines from all over Australia with a few from Germany, New Zealand and France.

Pelicans Landing also offers a wide range of entrees to start from oysters, gambas, sakanaki, mussels, calamari, sardines and duck. The entrees I found were quite pricey, but taking into account the food I tried, I have no doubt they would be deserving of that price. Next time when I’m not so tired I will fully enjoy a 3 course meal. They also cater for vegetarian and gluten free.

Open daily for lunch and dinner, the views are enough to get you into this restaurant.
