Modern Spanish Tapas!
Liquid restaurant is a very stylish casual place to enjoy great food. Situated in NewQuay Promenade Docklands, Liquid also features an open bar which makes this the perfect place to hang out and have a few drinks after work or on weekends.
The menu brings out some great dishes made by their head chef Anthony Edmondston, who has been cooking in Melbourne for over 6 years. Liquid serve a breakfast menu from 8am without missing any of your favourites. Lunch is served from 12pm onwards, and one of my favourite things are their ‘COCAS’ a Spanish Pizza. A Coca is a seasoned flat open tart with a variety of fillings of your choice, from grilled mediterranean vegetables to smoked salmon with baked spanish onion rings and goats brie! They also serve pasta and steak dishes to for lunch.
But what Liquid are famous for are their Spanish Tapas. Grilled octopus with parsley and lemon, prawns chargrilled with garlic and chilli, persian fetta and grilled bread, saffron rice cakes filled with manchegon sheeps cheese, albondigas meatballs with rich tomato sauce, and lots more. As you can see they have a huge variety.
In the Wines list they have incorporated some bottles from Spain, Australia and New Zealand. And to finish off, if you wanted to experience a Spanish Dessert, try the ‘churros’ a Spanish doughnut served with homemade chocolate sauce and ice cream, or the Raisen Torrijas with honey and walnuts served with walnut ice cream.
Liquid is open 7 days a week from 8am till late.
