‘Mediterranean Classics’
Set on the waterfront of Port Melbourne, dining at Campari makes you feel like your afloat on top of the water. They have everything from alfresco dining, bayside decking, full sea views and a beautiful mix of Mediterranean food. They have a wide variety of dishes from countries like Spain, Italy and Greece and include all your favourites on their menu, pizzas, pastas, mezze plates, tapas, spit roasts and wood fired chargrills.
My friends and I went there for a few drinks and thought we would order a couple of pizzas to share, while we were sitting out on the balcony overlooking the water. There was a nice selection to choose from, we went for the ‘San Christina’ which had eggplant, basil, fetta, roasted capsicum and tomato. And the ‘Genovese’ which had char grilled chicken, bocconcini, napoli, black olives, caramelised onions, sun-dried tomatoes, pesto and mozzarella. The bocconcini and char-grilled chicken went so well together with the rest of the flavours, this pizza was something special! And the last pizza we got whcih turned out to be my favourite was the ‘El Greco’, it had spit roasted lamb, napoli, mozzarella, rocket, onion and tzatziki. The lamb tasted so tender, and with the mozzarella and tzatziki sauce, this pizza reminded me of a lamb souvalaki. I wish I had taken photos of these pizzas, somehow my camera batteries were dead. There will be a next time.
To compliment the pizzas we sipped on cocktails, I started off with the Cosmopolitan (an all time favourite), then went and tried the Green Frog (a friends suggestion), this had midori, malibu, banana liqueur, pineapple juice and cream (I don’t think I’ll try that one again). And to top it off after our dinner I went for the No. 10 cocktail consisting of tanqueray, apple liqueur, apple juice, green apple and lemon juice. That was delicious! Time to go home now.
Campari in Port Melbourne is open daily from 8am till late, they also offer a beautiful breakfast menu.

I must admit I love the view at this place, but not a huge fan of the food. Although anywhere near the water on a warm summers day is a great spot to be!
Awesome share! Thank you very much
Hey I have a personal blog about diet. Would you mind if I used some of your article in a blog post of mine? I will link to you of course.
