For a more up market dining experience, Bluestone has it all. Complete with original blustone walls in the dining area, the interior shows so much warmth. This restaurant has a few sections, upper level is suited for more formal dining, while downstairs has a more casual approach in the lounge area. This fully licensed restaurant offers an extensive wine list with wines mainly from Australia, and also some from Italy, France and New Zealand.
The menu is contempory Australian and your sure to find something different here with entrees such as the braised rabbit ham hock and prune terraine with goats curd dressing (19.00), char-grilled quail in a zucchini and tomato tart (21.00), blue swimmer crab and pink eye potato cake with shaved fennel (22.00). Then moving onto your mains they have a beautiful vegetarian tasting platter which comes with: honey pumpkin crumble, tian of mediterranean vegetables and fetta, beetroot and horseradish salad (36.00). If vegetarian is not your style then you could try one of their meat dishes like char-grilled hopkins river scotch fillet served with your choice of sauces, or even the duck leg confit risotto with carrot, parsley and crispy pancetta (26.00).
If you were wanting something more casual then head downstairs for a differnent menu all together. Offering tapas, salads, and their award winning woodfried pizzas. Every Thursday Night they host a Jazz Sessions night, showcasing the up and coming jazz singers/bands. The night is free but it is recommended that you make a booking from 6pm onwards.
